Hello,
I would like to tell you about some of the challenges I have faced during my time as president. One of the challenges was that I faced was a disease that has hurt the muscles in my body from head to toe. It is called poliomyelitis and I got it when I was thirty-nine years old. Which just happen to be when I was running for president for my first term.

This disease has changed my life forever. when i first got the disease I could not move or do anything I use to be able to do. Later, on i got the use of my hands back and I could now start writing again. I noticed that warm water has really helped my legs through this process but I will not ever walk again be my self alone.
When I'm running for president someone has to hold me up for me to stand for pictures and speeches. I do not want anyone to know that I am in a wheel chair. I think they might think I am not a good president because I am in a wheel chair. I love being president and I believe I can help people with their problems. I will listen to them and fix whatever I can.
This disease will not change anything about me. I might not be able to walk be my self, but I can run the country. If I can get people through the Great Depression I think I can run the country in a wheel chair.

Hello my name is Harry Truman and I was the president after you. Also I was your third vice president if you didn't notice. Oh by the way thanks for making sure I knew what was going on in case anything happened. I know you tried to hide your disease and that must have been extremely tough considering that you couldn't walk on your own. If anybody tried to to do what you did and run for president in a wheelchair, they couldn't do it. What you did to overcome that huge obstacle is amazing and I always aspired to be just half as good a president as you had been.

ReplyDeleteHello Franklin D. Roosevelt, my name is Ronald Reagan, I was the 40th president of the United States. Being in a wheel chair while being president must have been hard for you. When I was elected president, I was the oldest president ever elected yet. After my presidency I was diagnosed with a disease called Alziehmers disease which made me forgetful and unaware of my surroundings. It was very hard to go through considering the pain I caused my loved ones, especially my wife Nancy. P.s. see you at the presidency club;)

Hello, Abarham Lincoln here,
ReplyDeleteI admire you Roosevelt. In being president, it's guaranteed that you will face many challenges. You were faced with a fatal disease and you stayed as president, and kept representing our country. I really do admire that, and I wish you the best.
